USB Drive Looks More Like a Steampunk Version of Rosie from the Jetsons
The Steampunk movement has been pretty quiet as of late. Or we just haven’t found anything worth mentioning till now. The Narrow Bridge Steampunk USB drive was inspired from a “narrow bridge” sign on an old country road and features hardwood, tiny gauges and control wheels that move. The USB drive also comes complete with a “vintage” tin box. Personally I think the USB drive looks like Steampunk version of Rosie from the Jetsons. For the price, it should actually clean your house because it costs a whooping $300 bucks over at Etsy!

Recently, news was spread out over the Internet, published with its characteristic speed: in a few days, lots of reference websites, blogs, social networks and emails proclaimed the inauguration of a fantastic flying hotel fit up in an old Russian helicopter. Yesterday Echofon and Tweetdeck announced the availability of preview beta releases of their respective twitter clients featuring twitter’s new user stream API. The API essentially brings real time to twitter; no more refreshing required. When someone replies, retweets or favorites a tweet, you’ll see it all happen in your stream milliseconds after the person has done it. It really has to be seen to be believed. If you were an avid Friendfeed user, this should bring back memories. Designers Song Teaho and Hyejin Lee may not call this a “green” concept, but finger powered batteries are eco-friendly. If your cell phone is running low on battery power, you pull out the battery and spin it around your index finger. It will be recharged long enough to let you have a conversation or to get to a electrical charger.
