Ex-blocker - Put Your Past Relationships Safely Out Of Sight
Breaking up is hard to do. And with the advent of constant social networking, denying the existence of an old flame is no easy task either these days. Put your past behind you with Ex-blocker, a browser plug-in that allows you to block your former significant other’s online activity, allowing you to move on without digital reminders.
Start by selecting your browser (Firefox, Chrome, Safari and IE are all supported) and filling in your former lover's name, Twitter handle and Facebook page info. Then click to download and install the plug-in to your browser. From then on, any information posted by your ex will be blocked from you with a splash warning whenever you’re about to “accidentally” come across news regarding that special someone from your past. And, should you ever back slide, unblocking takes just a few clicks.

Audiogalaxy Makes Streaming Music from Your Desktop Dead Simple
Windows/Mac, iPhone/iOS: Want to stream music from your main stash to an iPhone, Android phone, or any browser? Audiogalaxy, once a Napster-like peer-to-peer service, seems reborn as a straight-up service for streaming your own music, and it's brazenly easy to set up.Update: Audiogalaxy is limiting the number of users during what was supposed to be a quiet launch. More sign-ups opportunities should be available in the near future.
Head to Audiogalaxy.com, sign in with a username and password (or, even easier, through Facebook), then download software for your PC or Mac. All the software really does is find your music files, but you can click on the Audiogalaxy agent in your system try to point out exactly which tunes you'd like to stream. If you want iPhone or Android access, download those free apps through your Store/Market, or click the appropriate icon on the Audiogalaxy page.
With the software installed, you're instantly ready to stream tracks through the Audiogalaxy player online, or through your phone. Create playlists, shuffle your entire collection, pick out particular albums or artists, and, if you'd like, have those playlists sync back through your iTunes library. It took me literally five minutes to get Audiogalaxy up and running from my main PC laptop to an Android phone, a MacBook, and even a Chrome Incognito browser, just for the heck of it.Audiogalaxy is free to use, and there are no apparent limits on collection size, though the service only supports DRM-free MP3s and AAC files. New App Reveals How Smart, Rich & Frugal Your Neighbors Are
BAO is mainly a Web-based tool that provides localized demographic data, including income levels, ages, neighborhood styles and other data. Users of the service have been able to map and chart various sets of data using the tool, and now with this latest application, they can do some of that on their handheld devices. Below is a video demonstrating the basic functions of the app.
When the app opens it pinpoints the user's location and shows key demographic data about that area. According to the application, within a mile of my house are just over 15,000 people, with an average age of 35 and an average income of over $100,000. The app also tells me what percent have a college education, are homeless, are home owners, and how much is spent on retail shopping in my area.
Using the comparison tool, I can see that people in my area make well over the national average income, and they spend their money more too. The tool also allows me to compare my neighborhood to any other location within the U.S. by either dropping a pin on the map or searching for an address.
If you have lots of addresses in your contacts (which oddly I do not), the application can also randomly compare any location to that of your friends and family with a shake of the phone. Using the "Smart Map" feature, you can provide search criteria, such as population, income and media age ranges. The app will then color code results as you search for them or drop pins on the map.
While this free application is fun for an everyday user like myself, it is actually aimed at people who already make use of the BAO on the Web. This includes realtors, who can get instant demographic data about neighborhoods in which they are trying to sell a house. Anyone looking to understand more about their neighborhood or any other neighborhood would certainly benefit from having some basic BAO functionality on their iOS device.
